Invisalign®

You will get the same results as you would with braces, in a more comfortable and discrete way. Invisalign® aligners are invisible trays that you wear over your teeth for 22 hours a day. Every few weeks, your dentist will give you a new tray, gradually progressing your smile to your desired alignment.

Many patients prefer Invisalign® to braces. They’re free of wires, bands, and brackets, and they’re difficult to spot. Instead of working around them when you brush and floss, you can just remove them and brush normally. The same goes for your diet. You won’t need to avoid any foods, because you can simply remove your trays before eating.

What Dental Issues Can Invisalign®Resolve?

Just like with braces, Invisalign® fixes a variety of issues, all with the common goal of straightening your smile.

We are able to treat the following alignment issues with Invisalign®:

  • Underbite: Lower teeth jut out past upper teeth
  • Open Bite: Top and bottom teeth don’t completely close together
  • Overbite: Upper front teeth close in on lower teeth
  • Cross-Bite: Upper and lower jaws don’t line up
  • Crowded Teeth: Not enough space in the jaw for teeth to comfortably fit
  • Gap Teeth: Extra spaces between teeth

Whether you have a specific issue or just want to change your smile and straighten your teeth overall, Invisalign® is worth considering.

Are You a Good Fit for Invisalign®?

Even if you had braces in your youth, or if you were blessed with straight teeth, our mouths are always changing. Many patients seek Invisalign® treatment when their teeth were once nicely aligned, but have shifted over the years. Other patients have never had well-aligned teeth, and use Invisalign® to finally achieve their goal of a perfect smile.

Some adults do wear metal braces, so if you’re an adult who wants straighter teeth, you do have options. However, Invisalign® comes with many advantages, including shorter treatment times. Though there is a degree of variance, many patients finish their treatment within a year.
